During this internship you will develop a graphical interface and automatic reporting tool for the monitoring system of the Damen Ballast Water Treatment unit. The INVASAVE unit is a state of the art standalone water treatment system that currently is being monitored with approximately 250 parameters. The aim of this internship is to process this data and develop a front end for operational inspection and assessment purposes.

  • Be part of the innovation and development team for bringing the application further;
  • Share ICT knowledge with the team.

Your Profile

  • You are a HBO or University student of Computer Science/Software Engineering/Data Science;
  • You have Good knowledge of R-programming;
  • You are Familiar with Big Data technologies in the cloud;
  • You speak Fluent in English (spoken and written);
  • You are Independent;
  • You are Analytical.

Department Information

The Research & Development Department provides specific technical support for the Product Groups (project / proposal and project / management departments), Engineering Services and affiliates in the fields of naval and mechanical engineering. Research & Development undertakes specific studies for the development of ships by the Product Groups and to expand the knowledge base. This research can be divided into 5 categories, that is to say: Mechanical Systems, Noise and Vibrations, Ship Structures, Hydromechanics, Human Factors, E control systems.
