Summary

In his role, he will coordinate the work between the blasting/painting subcontractors and the responsible departments in DSGa, which according to the contract have the obligation to provide materials and services for the good performance of blasting / painting activities (paints, thinners, scaffolding materials, transport, etc.) to the vessels under construction.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Prepares documentation for new offers and contracts (surface estimation, calculation of paints / diluents in direct correlation with m2, calculation of blasting / painting of sections / ships);
  • Provides technical assistance to both subcontractors, production departments and the Dye Coordination Department in connection with current issues specific to the activity;
  • Process the painting specification received by contract for optimization and compatibility with the DSGa own procedures;
  • Elaborates " Painting Demarcation" for hull sections, piping and completed vessel;
  • Prepares the documentation regarding steel preparation since section stage for the vessels under construction;
  • Tracks paint consumption & stock and issues bills of consumption (paints, thinners, etc.) for the subcontractors;
  • Analyzes the documentation for execution and preparation of the painting operations to determine the solutions and the way of execution, by correlating with the subcontractors' specific facilities and labor and materials standards.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor / Master’s Degree in a technical specialization;
  • Minimum 5-year experience with demonstrated expertise in blasting and painting activities;
  • Medium English knowledge in - written and verbal communication;
  • Good command of MS Office;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the shipbuilding processes;
  • Not afraid of taking decision and assume responsibility;
  • Very good communication skills in order to collaborate with the production team;
  • Highly efficient for solving all tasks and activities in due time;
  • Stress resistant.
