Damen has strong governance and policies in place to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We are now looking to complement our Group Compliance team with a Compliance assistant for a minimum of three days a week.

The role

As a Compliance assistant you will be part of the Group Compliance Team, based in Gorinchem. Your main responsibility is to manage and maintain complete administration of files according to our compliance procedures and you will be the first point of contact for internal stakeholders on this matter.

This is how your day could look like:

9.00 am –  Mail and filing

10.30 am–  Weekly catch-up with the Compliance Team

12.30 pm – Lunch outside

13.00 pm – Prepare meeting with Area sales secretaries

15.00 pm – Coffee with Area Sales secretaries to catch-up

16.30 pm – Call with Salesforce team to align updates

Key accountabilities

  • Independently arranges completion of administration in Sharepoint, Salesforce and Excel.
  • Requesting applicable information (documents) from the business in order to maintain complete files.
  • First point of contact for the business regarding the administrative process and completion of agent files.
  • Set-out due diligence screening requests in the online DowJones tool.
  • Liases with internal departments on (administrative)compliance matters, e.g. gifs and hospitality and conflicts of interest registration tool.
  • Contributes to the execution of the (annual) compliance plan.

Skills & experience

  • Organization sensitivity,
  • The ability to handle and keep confidential information,
  • Accuracy,
  • Knowledge of or willing to gain knowledge on the use of Salesforce, Sharepoint and Excel.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal as in writing.
