Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) designs and builds naval vessels for its clients around the world. DSNS is a subsidiary of Damen Shipyards Group, the largest shipbuilding company in the Netherlands and an international leading player.
DSNS boasts a state of the art Engineering organisation, which is responsible for basic and detailed engineering of ships consigned to DSNS for production at the Vlissingen yard and to an increasing extent for production abroad.
The Naval & Structural group is part of the department Engineering. The employees have been divided over projects, in which they contribute to both product definition and the engineering of production information within their field of expertise.
The role
You will support the Requirements Management process and the Verification & Validation process according to Systems Engineering methods. This includes scripting of DOORS (DXL) in C-Sharp or C++ like syntaxes.
Visualization of functional chains and system architecture in Enterprise Architect software.
Skills & experience
- A technical education at BSc level, preferably in Software Engineering.
- Familiar with DXL, or affinity with C-Sharp or C++ like syntax and dynamically typed languages.
- Preferably familiarity with VBA.
- Creative within your field.
- Accurate and efficient.
- Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Prepared to occasional travel within the Netherlands and abroad.
