About us

The Marketing, Communications & Digital Sales department is based in Gorinchem and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. It's an exciting time to join our expanding Marketing team. We have ambitious plans in place for 2021 and need to recruit an experienced CRM Marketer.

As a CRM Marketer you exactly know how to communicate with our clients via email and you are always optimizing the place of this channel in the customer journey. You have not only technical and operational skills, but you are also always optimizing the personal and relevant emails based on data and the correct analysis. As our CRM Marketer you will be part of the Customer Activation team which grows and shapes our channels and digital presence and creates leads. You will also work proactively with other teams within Damen to build our presence and provide the best experience to customers. These teams are:

• Brand & Content: the brand guardians who ensure our brand will be recognized at every stage of the journey

• Customer Conversion: responsible for customer care and conversion of leads

• Divisions / Product Groups: the designers and builders of a wide variety of types of ships

 

The role

As our CRM Marketer you will be responsible for analyzing and enriching the user data with the ultimate goal of creating more personalized and relevant emails. With these personal and relevant emails you are able to optimize the performance and lead generation from the email and newsletter channel. You translate the marketing strategy into valuable action points to achieve the pre-set KPIs via multichannel campaigns and newsletters and ensure active monitoring of the results. The CRM Marketer we are looking for has excellent knowledge of customer and product segmentation and actively looks for opportunities to optimize client lists in Salesforce Pardot.

Key accountabilities

  • Setting and optimizing the data enrichment and segmentation of Salesforce Pardot
  • Optimizing the possibilities that Salesforce Pardot offers
  • Tracking of email leads through Thunderhead
  • Developing automated and personalized campaigns/flows
  • A/B testing of email marketing campaigns
  • Innovating to continuously improve retention, customer loyalty and churn rates
  • Coordinating all email campaigns, work together closely with external agencies
  • Content development, based on the data you know what works and what needs to be improved
  • Close collaboration with the campaign manager and channel managers to align all the campaigns and content during the customer journey and across multichannel campaigns

Skills & experience

  • Higher vocational education (HBO) with relevant marketing experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch
  • Experience with Email marketing software, preferably Salesforce Pardot
  • Experience with customer segmentation
  • Experience with HTML and CSS is a plus
  • You are analytical and see the enormous amount of data as an opportunity
  • You are customer oriented, effective at planning and organizing, and results focused
  • You have good knowledge of Google Analytics, PowerBI and DMP’s
