The Marketing, Communications & Digital Sales department is based in Gorinchem and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. As Marketing Operations Manager, you will be working proactively with other teams within Damen to build our presence and provide the best experience to customers. These teams are:

  • Digital Marketing: grows and shapes our web and digital presence and creates leads
  • Communications and Events: the brand guardians who ensure our brand will be recognized at every stage of the journey
  • Digital Sales: responsible for customer care and conversion of leads
  • Divisions / Product Groups: the designers and builders of a wide variety of types of ships

The role

Within this role, you will be responsible for the campaign strategy & execution, planning, creation and management of all marketing campaigns and activations, coordinated across all divisions and channels. Together with your team, you ensure that all customer engagement activities across campaigns, content & copy, analytics & data as well as customer relationship management are running smoothly and timely.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop the marketing campaign, content and channel strategy;
  • Manage the overall marketing calendar to synchronize brand and commercial communications related activities;
  • Collect, analyze and oversee all best practices and learnings from past activations / campaigns across all channels;
  • Coordinate with sales, operations and IT to oversee marketing activations / campaigns and activities across both online and offline channels;
  • Coordinate all day-to-day marketing operations activities
  • Collaborate with specialists to be responsible for the market growth, maximize the return on marketing investment and improvement of marketing best practices within the team;
  • Lead a fast growing, innovative team that will be expanded in the near future;
  • Ensure a connected way of working between the disciplines in your team to continuously improve team performance.

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience;
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in B2B or B2C marketing operations and marketing performance management;
  • Knowledgeable about 3rd and 2nd party customer data collection and customer segment opportunity analysis;
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms like Salesforce Marketing cloud or Pardot;
  • Excellent project management, planning/coordination and marketing budget management skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch would be an asset;
  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, international, rapidly changing work environment;
  • Able to manage and oversee multiple marketing topics to create a perspective and vision for a united whole;
