The goal is to develop, design and construct a portfolio of tugs, stationary dredgers and high speed crafts in the most effective and efficient manner, primarily based on series production of (smart-customized) standard designs. Our vessels are produced at our yards in Vietnam, China, Turkey and the Netherlands

The role

As Supply Chain Engineer within the Material Coordination team you are responsible to technically and logistically prepare our material deliveries towards the yards, in time and complete. In such a way that the building process is optimally supported.

Material Coordination is the logistical point of contact for our production locations, and the linking pin between Engineering, Purchasing and our Warehouse. Because of the high number of standardized tugs we produce per year, we are building those vessels on stock and we customize them based on client requirements.

Flow is an important matter in this business. Our challenge is to maximize the efficiency and economies of scale in our supply chain facilitated by the high level of standardization.

Key accountabilities

• Review, complete and process released engineering packages into purchase requisitions;
• Responsible for the logistical material planning to international yards to ensure the production planning;
• A pro-active attitude and coordinating to internal (Procurement, Engineering, Warehouse) and external stakeholders (Yard) and in time escalation of risks;
• You initiate and take ownership to improve your daily process;
• Together with your counterpart at the yards you are optimizing the demarcation, planning and inventory settings;
• Active contribution to improvement programs to optimize the supply chain of goods

Skills & experience

• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering / Supply chain / Logistics;
• At least 3 years working experience in an international supply chain, planning and logistics, preferably within technical companies;
• Experience with working in ERP systems, specifically with inventory modules and settings • Profound knowledge on working with Excel;
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
