The Marketing department is based in Gorinchem and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. It's an exciting time to join our Marketing Communications team. We have ambitious plans in place and need to recruit an experienced Traffic & Content Specialist for 32 or 40 hours per week.

The role

As our traffic & content specialist you will coordinate our marketing communications projects and monitor the process of content creation. You are responsible for ensuring that projects run smoothly in accordance with briefings, budgets are not exceeded and that all work is done by the designated people within the agreed time. You are able to write briefings and review creative concepts to create the best content needed for relevant channels together with the creative teams. To this end, you interact with various parties, such as printers, photographers, video creators, copywriters and other suppliers, and you keep a daily schedule. You are also the point of contact for requests and delivery of image usage for internal and external stakeholders. You manage content in the most general sense, including document management, workflow management, digital asset management and publishing content on internal channels.

Key accountabilities

  • Offering guidance on planning, scheduling, executing and tracking the content creation activities
  • Making project schedules and maintaining the content calendar
  • Engaging third parties, such as printshops, photographers and copywriters, editors, content managers
  • Negotiating rates and delivery times and monitoring budgets
  • Doing final checks and quality control
  • Coordinate general internal requests
  • Logging and tagging the final content in our digital asset management system

Skills & experience

  • Vocational or higher vocational education (MBO/HBO) with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Past experience in traffic coordination amongst creative parties
  • Experience as a traffic manager at, for example, a PR or communications agency is a plus
  • You are social, representative and your enthusiasm and creativity inspires people
  • You enjoy working in a team, are effective at planning and organizing, and you are results focused
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language
  • Availability of 32-40 hours per week
